Crystal Reports Viewer (for web) next page does not go past page 2

$

I've got a website which was running Crystal Reports XI R2 (11.5) reports.  Everything was working fine, other than it's getting a bit old.  Tried to update to this version SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads, and the page works and displays the reports.  BUT I have a report with about 30 pages in it, and when I click on next page, it only ever goes to page 2.  I can enter page 5 into the current page text box and it will load page five just fine.  I then click on next page, and it loads page 2.

Is there a known issue with CrystalReportsViewer for web, doing this?  Or did I mess something up?

The HTML code is as follows

  <asp:Panel ID="reportPanel" runat="server">

    <CR:CRYSTALREPORTVIEWER id="crystalReportsWebViewer" runat="server" Width="350px" Height="50px" BorderColor="Transparent"

             GroupTreeStyle-BorderColor="Transparent" GroupTreeStyle-BorderStyle="Ridge" GroupTreeStyle-BorderWidth="2px"

             HasCrystalLogo="False" HasToggleGroupTreeButton="False" />

  </asp:Panel>

The CR tagPrefix is pointing at CrystalDecisions.Web v 13.0.2000.0.

I originally posted this in SAP Crystal Reports, but they told me to post it here instead.  Let me know if any more information/clarification is needed.

Thanks

Next Page button won't go past page 2 of report

We've recently upgraded our crystal report viewer from 11.5 to v13.0.8.

But we've noticed that any of the reports that are more than 2 pages, when you click on the next page icon, it goes to page two.  If you click the next page button again, it stays and reloads page 2.

If you type in the box page 5, the viewer goes to page 5 correctly.  You then hit next page button and it goes to page 2.

Is this a known issue? Is there a work around?

Crystal Report Viewer - Sub Reports

Hi Everyone,

I'm working with Crystal Reports(V13.0.7) Windows form viewer in VS2012(VB.Net). I have a sub report which is causing problems. I have set the link to the Main report parameter and Sub report. I have a total of 43 parameters getting passed(Main and Sub Reports including). While setting the ReportSource in code, I find that there are 43 parameter fields passed. But i constantly get an error "The parameter is incorrect". An important thing to note is that- Whenever i debug the code, the report gets displayed but it is not so when in release mode. Can anyone help me in this regard. I'm totally frustrated and its been weeks and i haven't solved the issue yet. I have attached the files below (FrmViewer - Used to add and set report source for Main and sub reports) and (Display-AR-REPORT( ) - for passing main report and sub report parameters). The AR.Rpt report

Hello Everyone,

I'm  using Crystal Report runtime version 13.0.2 for .Net 4.0 & I'm facing the same issue as discussed in the http://scn.sap.com/thread/3158679", where in, the user was able to solve the image generation issue with Web farm by making registry changes and using common file share.

I'm trying to replicate the fix and I'm not successful yet on my local machine, I created the CrystalImageDir under  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework 4.0\Report Application Server\Viewer (not sure is this the right path for the version im using) and I'm the admin of my machine so I created a folder C:\Mytemp and set it as the image path in Registry but, I don't see anything created in C:\Mytemp and I believe CR is still creating the images in Temp folder. I used ProcMon to monitor registry calls, to my surprise, I don't find any registry calls to SAP Business object path at all, so please suggest me what else I can do. Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Rajasimhan.V
P.S. I've not hosted the application in IIS and I'm simply debugging reports in Visual Studio

CR for vs2008 not connecting on Windows Server 2012R2

I have an application running on Windows Server 2008R2 which I urgently need to mirror on Windows Server 2012R2.

However, my crystal reports basic runtime for vs2008  version 10.5.1.0

and crystal reports basic runtime for vs2008(64) version 10.5.0.0  brings up the report but doesn't seem to connect to the

database  (it seems to be pulling in a null dataset)

What am I doing wrong?  [I tried opening all incoming ports, etc, etc]

This is the web.config line:

<add assembly="CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"/>

[changing this crashes the application]

Save Dynamic images in webfarm

Hi

I'm using Crystal reports for visual studio 2005, and when i deploy the reports the images are, SOMETIMES, showed as a red X. This because I have a 2 mirrored webservers, and when one server writes the dynamicimage to the temp catalogue the other server is trying to read from its c:/temp catalogue.

For example:

server1 writes the dynamic image to c:/temp in server1

server2 try to read the dynamic image from server2

MY QUESTION:

is there a way to tell crystal to write these images to file server like
myfileserver\crystaltemp (like a registry value, ini file, web.config, a workaround.........)??

Thanks in advance for helping me

I'm loosing my mind...

Create the report once, store it in a Session variable and retrieve it on each Postback.this is working absultely fine when I am assigining object from session incase of postback but when I am trying to destoy crystal report object im page unload it is giving error - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

If I am not destrying object it is working fine but I am geeting {"The maximum report processing jobs limit configured by your system administrator has been reached."} after running report for some time.

Please see my code givien below.

1) on this aspx page I am getting param values from session.

2) I am calling database proce and getting data into dataset.

3) If report is loading first time I am connecting db and getting value  and showing report and storing crystal report obect in session.

4) onclick next page during pagination of crystal report retriewing report object from session and assiging to cryreport object.

This senario is working fine , in case of if am not closing destroying object in pageunload event.

To resove 'The maximum report processing jobs limit configured by your system administrator has been reached.' Want to close /clear crystal report object.

Crystal Report does not load on page refresh (.Net 4.0, VS2010, CRVS2010)

I am in the process of upgrading my web application. Here's the new configuration that I intend to use:

Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7, Visual Studio 2010, IE 8, ASP.Net 4.0, Ajax for .Net 4.0, Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010

I have a Crystal Report inside an update panel of Ajax on an ASP.Net web page. The report loads fine the first time; but when I change the filter criteria, a page refresh happens and the page goes blank. All of this happens in VS2010 on my development machine.

I checked the View Source of the returned HTML and seems like the report is there; but is not shown.  I also checked the visibility of the report in my code and it is visible.

I checked this link and tried everything there too - http://scn.sap.com/community/crystal-reports-for-visual-studio/blog/2012/10/16/report-appears-blank-in-browser-after-deploying-a-crystal-reportsnet-web-application

Here's the code that I use to load the crystal report. This same code worked perfectly fine with .Net 2.0 and CR For VS2005.

'Reuse' the .tmp and .rpt files.

I've got an issue where I need to scan through left over .rpt and .tmp files.

These files are left over because (we assume) the export to the printer has failed in such a way that Dispose or Close wasn't called.

We can't instruct the user to print the report again, because printing is happening automatically and the user isn't aware of the result (printed yes or no).

The printouts are picked up by another department that is unaware of how many reports should have been printed.

Can the report be printed again using the .rpt and or .tmp?

If not, can we distill the parameters that the report export was started with from either the .rpt or .tmp file?

Thank you for your effort.

Crystal Report for VS SP6 crashes randomly on Windows Server 2008 R2

$

Dear community,

I'm in front of a very incomprehensible printing issue.

I have a .NET (4.0) application, hosted on a server, that generates reports and spooled them to a dedicated printer spooler server.

I'm using Crystal Report XI SP6 for the document's generation.

This application run perfectly on Windows Server 2003 without any crash.

Now, both processing and printer spooler servers have been migrated on Windows Server 2008 R2.

When I reach printers with the network name (\\myserver\myprinter\), I have got randomly crashes with comexception, win32exception or invalidprinterexception (with a failure rate close to 50% !)

We tried lots of ways to solve this issue :

- grant user rights -> KO

- upgrade Crystal Report to SP8 -> KO

- change printer driver -> KO (crashes occures with HP, LEXMARK, CANON.... printers)

- customize print processor of printer driver.... -> KO

The only workaround we found : to map each printer in local to the processing server.

(but this trail is not possible because of the very large number of servers and printers we have)

So... I don't understand why by this way we didn't have any crash ?

Is there a specific setup for PrinterSettings, before calling the method "PrintToPrinter" of Crsytal Report Framework, when we execute the application under WS 2008 R2 (64 bits kernel English)?

How can I be sure that the origin of these crashes doesn't come from Crystal Report ?

Any help will be very very appreciate !

Thanks in advance
Julien

Right side of "Can Grow" Field gets cut off sometimes on CR2010SP2+, is OK in SP1

$

Hi,

We have a Windows Application using the Crystal Report Viewer (Win Forms, not WPF) and filling Reports via XSD Datasources from our Application.

On some of our Clients Reports we noticed a similar Problem as described here "Can Grow" Fields cutting Text on right Margin if Page Setup has no Printer and here Problem with "can grow" after conversion on Fields filled with RTF text. Having the error show up in the Viewer seems to depend on the Zoom setting - the error shows up when printing with no correlation if it happened in the Viewer or not.

I checked all older versions of CR2010 (13.0.1 - 13.0.8 ) and interestingly found that in SP1, the automatic Line Breaks happen earlier and so the Problem does not appear.

I have attached a simple Report I created to easily reproduce this behavior without a Data Source.

We can not change the report option from "no printer" as mentioned in the second link because printing takes a lot longer if Crystal cannot find this printer on the system.

Is exporting to MHTML programmatically possible?

$

I'm using Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 (13.08). When I Preview a report and click the Export button, one of the listed formats is MHTML and it seems to produce an MHTML file with no problems. However, I can't find any Export Format setting for MHTML for when I am producing the reports programmatically using Visual Studio 2010.

In CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType I can't see any entry for MHTML or Web Archive. Is there another option that can be used in conjunction with the HTML40 output format?

rpt.ReportClientDocument.DatabaseController.SetTableLocation causes an exception

I've tried installing CR 2013 then CRforVS_13_0_8.exe and vice versa.

When rpt.ReportClientDocument.DatabaseController.SetTableLocation(table, updatedTable) is called, an exception is thrown, even when the value in table and updateTable are the same.

Any ideas?
