Dear Community,
i found out, that in our Report's (about 500) "Can Grow" Fields cut the Text on the right margin.
It seems the Word Wrap dosn't work....After all, i tried to reproduce it. First i can't.
But then I found out, that you must set have in Page Setup "No Printer (optimize for screen display)" to get the same issue.
We have Crystal 2008 with all SP's and using VS2010 SP2 to view our Reports. The most Fields are comming from Database.
here some picture:

Hope you can help me.
Best regards

Hi, i've built a windows application using VS2010 and Crystal Reports. However, when i copy the built files, to a new computer the crystal report does not work. I know that i can download and install the MSI file from SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads. However, isn't it just possible to copy certain DLL files to the same folder where my application is? In that case which DLL files would i copy?
Thanks
Aron
Hi
We are trying to display the WPF Strandard Control (Busy Indicator) from WPF Toolkit over the Crystal Reports Viewer, when the report is being generated.
But the busy indicator goes below the Crystal Reports viewer and Crystal Reports viewer on the top.
Please suggest whether there is any solution to show the WPF control over the Crystal Reports Viewer.
Screen shot Attached, we have positioned the screen, so that you can see the Busy indicator (highlighted) goes below the Crystal Reports Viewer.

On Next Page - Please wait while the document being processed I am using Crystal Reports for VS 2013. The report is working fine but if you click on the next page or click on group tree, the message “Please wait while the document is being processed.” comes. It does not returns after a long time. Any ideas?
Hi
We have an issue with the Crystal 2013 API for cases when a report is based on an Access database and no sort fields are specified in the report. We are relying on Crystal displaying records in the order they appear in the table. It was working fine in crystal 8.5. but with crystal 2013 records are displayed in reverse order.
Hello
I am using RAS API to create reports on the fly. I have a report in which during export to HTML3.2 format data loss issue is happening. This issue is happening with HTML3.2 format only while it is working fine with all other export formats (HTML4.0/PDF/Excel).
If I am opening this report in crystal designer and trying to export in HTML3.2 format, data loss issue is coming there too. You will notice during preview address are displayed but they are missing in HTML after export in HTML3.2 format.
Version details:
Visual studio 2012
Crystal designer 2013
RAS API : v. 13.0.10.1385
We are working on a win app here.
I have attached the required files for reference.
Cruflre is ufl. [Rename it back to .dll from .txt]
New Appeal Cards.txt is report [Rename it back to .rpt from .txt]
Hi,all,
I have created a main report file with 2 detail sections. Depending on some parameters, I fill these sections, with subreports chosen at run-time.
Detail sections in the main report have no set borders, and also in subreports no section borders are defined.
When I import subreports into a report, in the resulting report I see an added bottom border to both detail sections, that imported subreports.
Can you, please, help me to avoid generation of these lines? And, explain why they get rendered out in the first place.
Thank you in advance!
-Jelena
I have converted a ASP.NET 1.0 app to 4.0. It is a simple app with only 3 pages and 4 reports. For the most part the conversion went well and on both my development machine and the production machine I can run it, navigate between the pages, retrieve and update data from a SQL Server 2008 R2 database. On the development machine I can also create Crystal Reports which are then exported to PDF. On the production machine however when I try to do this I get this message:

The reports had been developed in Crystal XI but they were imported in to VS 2010 converted and saved
The app runs under a application pool I created that uses a network Windows account that has all the necessary permission on the SQL Server objects.
In the web.config file identity impersonate is set to true.
On the production machine:
Windows Server 2012 R2
IIS 8

The app runs under a application pool I created that uses the same Windows account as on my development machine
In the web.config file identity impersonate is set to true.
IIS and application are on one server and SQL Server is on another. The server that IIS is on is named Intranet02 and the Intranet02$ account has all the necessary permissions on the database objects.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have a report that doesn't connect to a database and it opens on the production machine. It seems like it must be a permissions issue but I don't know what it would be as the app should be running under the same account on both my development and my production machine and the reports open on my development machine.
Hi
I have a report that I run and export to an ASCII text file. Works fine in CR XI and CR 14.
Where I would like to put it to grant access to many Users is on a menu in an app we have that uses a CR runtime engine.
Problem is that when the report is run from here, TXT export is not an option.
Is this just an old version, or are there other restrictions that are place on a runtime? Anyone know how I can determine the runtime version?
There's an awful lot of fingerpointing going on, and I just need to get a daily, timely TXT file to send to the company on a daily basis.
Thanks,
Matt
We have web application developed in ASP.NET 4.0 ftramework and published on IIS. And we are using 13_0_8 version of CR.
I am creating report files and exporting these as pdf. And I am disposing streams and report documents at the end. Initially, there wasn't any problem and temporary files which are created by CrystalReport were deleting all. But, now requests to the web application increeased to about 50.000 in a day and now some .rpt files are staying in Temp folder and I can't delete them. After recycling application pool all files are removed by IIS. Then, after 1 or 2 hours new .rpt files are creating in Temp folder. And after somewhile, application throws Server has not enough memory for operation
. And, IMHO the reason is temp files. Here is the code I am using to export report as pdf.
Questions:
1. Is the reason of this exception is temp files in Temp folder?
2. What is wrong in that code?
ReportDocument report =DownloadPDF.GetReport(id);
MemoryStream stream =(MemoryStream)report.ExportToStream(CrystalDecisions.Shared.ExportFormatType.PortableDocFormat);
Response.ContentType="application/pdf";
Response.AddHeader("content-disposition","attachment; filename="+ id+".pdf");
report.Close();
report.Dispose();
try
{
Response.BinaryWrite(stream.ToArray());
Response.End();
}
catch(Exception)
{
}
finally
{
stream.Flush();
stream.Close();
stream.Dispose();
}
Here is the StackTrace
I inherited a .NET web application that makes use of the SAP Crystal Reports Server 2011 and uses the CrystalReportsWebViewer control in an ASPX page which is contained in the CrystalDecisions.Web.dll. We have recently added support to our application for IE 11. There is some strange behavior in IE 11 when entering the letter "u" into the search input box, the character is "eaten" and doesn't output to the input box. I tried to follow the onkeydown event handler and don't see why this is happening. Works fine in Chrome, Safari 6 - 7 and IE 9 & 10 but having issues with IE 11
The version that we have and that seems to contain the bug is CrystalDecisions.Web.dll version 14.0.6.1036.
I figured I should try to update the CrystalDecisions.Web.dll to the latest version but can't seem to find where to obtain the latest version. We are using Visual Studio 2012 Premium Edition.
After evaluating the charting that comes within Crystal Developer 14.0. and searching on the net It appears that there is not way to set the y Axis (or x axis for that matter) scale at run time. I have a report with date/value pairs that I want in a x-y line chart. There are several "groups" of these pairs that are different charts (the chart is in the Group footer). Each "Group of pairs" has a min and max value that is known only at run time.
It appears my choice is to create the chart outside of Crystal (in my C# application), convert the chart to an Image, and somehow have the image appear in the report. I am using Visual Studio 2010 and an ADO.Net (XML) data set. (I have purchased the Bus Obj Crystal Developer I am not using the free one that you download for visual studio)
Is there a data type I can use to imbed the graphic in the Data Set? (I.E. Byte[] or Object)?
Any other thoughts would be appreciated
Neal
Hello
I am upgrading my application from crystal 8.5 to latest crystal 13 API. While doing export in CSV format, earlier crystal 8.5 provided two options as shown below in dialog box
While new crystal doesn't provide these options anymore. I tried a lot without any luck to figure out how to support these options. I went through a lot of posts but can't find anything. It will be great if anyone here can show the path.
I am using below mentioned tools for this:
Visual Studio 2012
Crystal designer 2013
Crystal RAS API: 32 bit Support Pack 10 (v. 13.0.10.1385)
VB.Net
Thanks for looking into the issue.

Scenario:
We have a program that runs and creates a large number of reports before the process is ended. When running after many hours we'd get a Load report failed/Not enough memory of operation exception. I kept removing code and found i could reproduce just using the report.Load call. I simplified the report to a completely blank report to make sure it was nothing specific to a report I was loading. (Opened Crystal Reports XI Release 2, Save As, "Blank.rpt".). I then created, loaded, and disposed of this report in a loop. I was able to cause the same exception after 32,764 iterations on my machine. I also tried using .NET 3.5 same result. I added a counter to our main program and it also went through 32,764 report loads before the same exception was thrown. Main program uses 15 or so different reports with a variable number of subreports in each.
Sample Code to illustrate the problem:
I did this as a WinForms project since our main program is using winforms.

Hi,
There is Crystal Report print issue on our web application.
I am working on production web server upgrade (from Windows Server 2003 to Windows 2008 R2). Our store order station (web application) calls web service to print pick slip, which contains customer and item information. We use Crystal Report as template for the pick slip.
After we brought the server into service at 7:00am EST, pick slip print worked fine until more stores (located in the western Canada) opened at 12:00pm EST. Almost all the data on pick slip shifted to the left about 10mm (depending the field width defined in Crystal Report), and those data exceeded left border of the fields did not get printed on the pick slip (please refer to the two attachments).
Once we restarted IIS, pick slip print worked again. As this is production box, we cannot leave it running and manually reset IIS frequently. It sounds like there is load issue with Crystal Report runtime. Is Crystal runtime environment “Reset” when we restart IIS?
1) Version of CR: CRRuntime_64bit_13_0_10
2) Version of VS: VS2010
3) OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
4) Version of IIS: IIS 7.5
Can you please help me out on this issue?
Thank you.
Hi all,
we're going to upgrade from Crystal Reports .NET 10.2 to Crystal Reports 13 for VS 2010.
we're done download,but find there are more files than before.
We used to add all reference we can find:
1.CrystaDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine
2.CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework
3.CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore
4.CrystalDecisions.ReportSource
5.CrystalDecisions.Shared
6.CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms
but this time, too much more dll files to add blindly, please tell which are needed to do windows app and which are need to do web app.
thanks for the help.

I have seen similar questions, but none of the answers seem to apply to my situation.
I am upgrading an older web application to Visual Studio 2013, using the SAP Visual Studio Crystal Reports tools. Everything works great until I publish.
I have two sorts of reports: Some that export to Excel, and some that export to PDF. All work fine within Visual Studio. However, when I publish, the reports that should go to PDF give me the following error.
I have seen several posts that indicate that this could be a 32/64 bit issue. I am using a newer 64 bit SQL database, and this is an old application. I have it set to Any CPU. However, since the reports work fine in Visual Studio, I don't see how this could be the issue.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Geoff Callaghan
