I have a C#/ASP.NET Web Application that uses Crystal Reports to display particular data. Our reports have been created in Crystal Reports 11, which is installed on the server along with SAP Crystal Reports Runtime Engine for .NET Framework 4 (this is the version our Web Application uses). The report display's as expected when viewed in the Crystal Reports 11 software, it's when the report is viewed in the browser that a problem occurs. The problem is when the data of a field exceeds the field width set in Crystal the field automatically expands to the right of the page until it runs off of the page. Checking the "Can Grow" option doesn't have any effect, the field still expands to the right of the screen.
Is there any known compatability issues with these two versions of the software Crystal Reports 11 and "SAP Crystal Reports Runtime Engine for .NET Framework 4"? If so what version of Crystal Reports would I use to create reports with no issues? bearing in mind that our Web Application uses "SAP Crystal Reports Runtime Engine for .NET Framework 4".
