I am using Visual Basic 2010(Ultimate) and have what may be a strange problem.
Some time ago I installed the Crystal reports add-in software to my Visual Basic 2010, I added a report and all worked well. I do not have the Express edition.
I am now in another project and am trying to add a report but have this problem.
After designing the report (this aspect works fine) I attempt to add a Crystal Report viewer from the Toolbox,to a Windows form exactly as I did previously...except that the Viewer does not show in the ToolBox as it was in the previous program.
I checked the ToolBox content menu and the Crystal Reports Viewer is checked (as it should be) but no viewer appears. I don't know if this is a Visual Basic or Crystal Reports problem. I reinstalled the Crystal Reports with no results and I then uninstalled and reinstalled Crystal reports and it just will not fully work
Another odd thing, when I add a report to the system (Solution Explorer, Add, New Item, Crystal Reports) I can import the report (from Crystal Reports 8) and modify it and it works fine but - when I try to add it to a Reprt Viewr control , I can't because the report Viewer control does not show in the Toolbox.
Can anyone help.
