When opening vb. 2010 crystal report for editing for my windows application, I received the message of the v. 13.0.11 Cr that could be installed directly to the vb application which I did.
However, not sure what to do next. I rebuilt the project and looked in the references. The previousCR references ( for the CR.Engine, CR.reportsource, CR.shared, and CR.windows forms) were: SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 . I removed these from the references and went to the SAP x86 folder and inserted what I thought were the new references but they are the same as the old ones.
Questions.
1. Where are the new references?
2. Are the ones above (which I have always used), the references I insert? Or is there something else I need to do? or other references to insert.
3. What do I change in the setup and deployment project?
4.Was the MSI needed for installation on the user's server installed when I installed the new version from the project I had opened rather than the usual way (going to the CR site and installing the newest version and downloading the MSI for installation?)
5. If already added as part of the installation, where is it? If not, do I go to the update site and download it as before?
