We develop and save our reports with the No Printer option selected. All fields align when previewing in the Crystal Report Designer. However, when previewing the report through the runtime client with an actual default printer, the fields no longer align. They are off slightly and as a result the report does not look well.
Here is an example where the report previewed fine in the Crystal Designer, but then when previewing on a runtime machine, the number fields have either shifted up or the text feilds has shifted down. Either way, they did not shift the same amount. Although it is off so very slightly, it is enough to make the report look unprofessional. I had inserted the blue line on the report just under all the fields to show the alignment.
The fields are the same exact height. One field is a date field from a SQL Result set. The Order Total field is a text field insert on the report. All were selected by right clicking and aligning bottoms. None are snapped to guidelines.
Has anyone come across this issue and/or have a solution?
