As I've reported previously in this forum, I was able to successfully utilize my Visual Studio 2008 Crystal Reports templates in Visual Studio 2012, when I upgraded my project recently. Or so I thought. In point of fact, most everything works well but there is one significant difference which I only noticed today. It is illustrated in the attachment.
Simply put, in VS2008 the @Filename field used to represent just the name of the report template before the ".rpt" extension. Now it appears to represent the entire path instead. :-(
I'm in a bit of a Catch-22 because I've uninstalled the VS2008 Merge Modules from your company and installed the ones for VS2010. So even though Visual Studio 2008 is still installed on my machine (concurrently with VS2012) the newer merge modules do not work with it. If necessary, I could uninstall the newer one and temporarily reinstall the older one but I would need some guidance as to what "@Filename" is supposed to be replaced with to work properly within my VS2012 project.
I hope that all makes sense! To put it another way, if one were creating a report template anew, what field or calculated field should one use to display just the Filename and not the path preceding it?
Sincerely,
